Project Description
A. Prete Construction and Vase Management (Construction Managers), on behalf of The Glendower Group, Inc., Elm City Communities, and Housing Authority of the City of New Haven (Owner), redeveloped two six-story buildings. The project was to create a senior and disabled high-rise development that provided 65 one-bedroom and studio apartments for residents 62 years of age and older, as well as residents with disabilities. The project’s approximate square footage was 53,000 and work consisted of abatement, site work, steel modifications to the elevator shaft, and brand new elevators, roofs, kitchens, floors, windows, doors, paint, generators, and switch gears.. Other general trades and MEP were also added. The total construction cost was approximately $7 million, which included public and private funds.
